For email signatures and the like, do you put PE or P.E.? Gotta flex my new fancy letters I think either is appropriate. I prefer P.E., myself. (Still haven't started including it in my e-mail signature since I work in multiple states and want to avoid confusion...open to changing my mind on that)

I looked into this once. I notices that NCEES employees use P.E. so I think that is slightly more official. But personally I prefer PE. Also no periods is more consistent with other certifications. PMP, CPA, MD, CISSP... I don't think any of them use periods

Or with a SE, is it PE SE or SE PE?

If/when I become a S.E., I’d maybe drop the P.E.? That seems to be the practice in my local office, though honestly I have seen every combination otherwise.

(Still haven't started including it in my e-mail signature since I work in multiple states and want to avoid confusion...open to changing my mind on that) I've seen some people put a small disclaimer in their email saying they were licensed in a particular state.

I just use PE ... partially because it seems consistent with the other certs (PMP, DBIA, etc.). having not been in the office for 3 years and working from home, I no longer have business cards or the need for them. This also seems to be consistent with the rest of my work peeps.

I use PE. I have other certificates that don't use PE, and I'm just too lazy to find the (.) symbol if I am typing it out.
