Might as well get this topic rolling! I got this in 2017 because I thought I wanted to get a PM job with my local utility at the time and they were/are all about this dang credential. I have since changed my mind about working for them but decided to maintain the cert for the time being.

I took the at-home test in April 2022 and passed my first try. I used Andrew Ramdayal (TIA Education Group) and Rita Mulcahy (RMC Solutions) materials for my studying and both were invaluable for their own reasons. I think the biggest thing right now is that the 7th edition of the PMBOK is not the *only* material being tested on; the 6th edition of PMBOK is still very much in play (which seems weird to me, but that's PMI for you, I guess). You still should know the process groups and such technical material, but a lot of the questions are situational.

Neat! I didn't realize it was being offered as an at-home test. The future is here!

Neat! I didn't realize it was being offered as an at-home test. The future is here! Some people have had complaints with it, and rightfully so. Someone on the other side watches you on camera for the whole test, so if you move incorrectly they could shut down your examination. I had to train myself to hold as still as possible (not easy for a 4-hour period). I also need to use the bathroom REALLY BADLY after the first 2 sections but couldn't get permission/response from the person on the other side.

I did the in-person (facility) exam for the PMP. Mostly because it was 4-hours and I have dogs. I wanted no distractions! For the DBIA exam (2-hours), I did the at-home on-line proctored exam. It wasn't too bad for a shorter duration, but it was weird to have someone you can't see watching you continuously throughout the exam. You also have to show your entire room, including under your desk and can have nothing on your desk, no external monitors can be plugged in. As far as the PMP study materials. I second ChebyshevII PE PMP study sources. Esp Andrew Ramdayal's videos. You can get access from this book www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08SBFTXQT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Before my vacation I had asked a question in EB regarding this but unfortunately I cant go back to see the response now... So for this exam you basically have to do an online class for 35 hours to fulfill requirements? Then just register and practice using the Ramdayal book? Do we have other books?
What are other requirements for registration?
Other learning sources to be prepared the most.

You need to log your experience in detail showing your have experience in the necessary areas. 1/3 applications are audited. I used the Rita book. As for the 35 hours training, i did the Casey Ayers's class on pluralsight. He also provides a systematic way to log your experience. You can get the monthly subscription and cancel in a month if your can go through the training in that time. Also download some pmp quiz apps and practice tests. I downloaded by searching on Google. Good luck. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Depending on your degree you will need a certain amount of work experience doing project management tasks (pretty sure it's 36 months if you have a bachelors degree, and higher level degrees may buy you more experience). Your experience needs to span 36 months; you can't just say "I worked on 4 projects for 9 months in the same timeframe" and call that 36 months. You'll need to describe your experience IN THE WAY PMI WANTS TO SEE IT and then line up peers that would be willing to sign off and say "yep, I agree this person has this experience." (You won't need their signature unless you get audited but it's professional and courteous to ask for this favor in advance).
