I don’t know how we’ve gone so long without this thread… What’s cookin’, good lookin’? I’ll admit, I haven’t made these yet but I probably will within the next week or so (if the temperatures ever drop again) and serve on the side with steamed artichokes (if I can still source them from the farmer’s market). That’s two if’s, I know, but bets for stars to align will be significantly likelier (or not) after said farmer’s market, tomorrow. Anyway, the link to the amazing-looking Broccoli Melts, from one of my favorite food blogs: smittenkitchen.com/2016/02/broccoli-melts/?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email

Made pasta and sauce today from scratch with meatballs and chicken sausage using our new pasta maker. The sausage and meatballs were premade. The store was out of ground pork that we normally use to make meatballs and I haven't learned to make sausage yet. Maybe one day. Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk

Last night was basic pasta with shrimp and butter garlic sauce. Wanted to throw some vegetables into the mix, but I know it would have offended some family members, so they were instead made on the side. The Catch 22 about moving at home: I don't have to cook dinner, but then I don't get to cook dinner. So there has been a lot of meals where I'm like...this is nice, but I really want to just eat something else. Also, giant batch meal prepping isn't happening as often since other people are cooking dinner.
I might do butter chicken over the weekend in the crockpot to build up a little stash for me.
