I'm so happy to see how much this forum has grown in just a week! Happy Friday, ESers!
We got our hardwood floors restored, and will be cleared to put down area rugs this weekend. So that means we can move more stuff back into their rooms. I also want to go to the Farmer's Market and just chill, since mr. txj and I will be doing some traveling in a bit.

This weekend will be the Great Garage Purge (Episode 2). Might do an escape room with some friends, we have a good record so far!
Making a ton of tortillas for freezing/meal prep also.

Happy Friday, ESers! It’s the third Friday of ES’s existence. How awesome is that? We are getting bigger (slowly) and contributing more to the subforums — let’s keep it up!
I hope everyone has a nice weekend! My partner is running a marathon on Sunday so we are taking it easy otherwise. I do hope to bake some chocolate yogurt snack cakes (aka muffins) a la Smitten Kitchen tomorrow, to bring to the finish line. But otherwise it’s going to be an early bedtime — the race starts at something like 5:30 am!

What’s everyone got planned for the weekend? I’m gonna bake some jalapeño cheddar sourdough, go to my partner’s baseball game on Sunday, and do the normal chores around the house. We’ll see if anything spontaneous pops up!

What’s on the docket for this summer weekend? I’m going out of town for tonight but will be back tomorrow night. Then I have about 3.5 lbs of early girl tomatoes sitting on the counter, waiting to be canned on Sunday!

We will be doing some driving practice, gotta get some parallel parking practice in before it is covered next week in driver's ed. We are going to the neighbor's house for an afternoon of board games Saturday, and not sure what else, hopefully just relax after being gone for the past several weekends.

I get to watch my coworkers dogs this weekend while he is out of town and I’m so excited because I love them soooo much! I always love getting to spend time with them. They’re so sweet 🥰

Ever since Covid, golf courses have become more booked than usual. I still play once a week, but lately our group has had difficulty getting on our usual courses, so tomorrow we're driving over an hour to a course we've never played. I'm leaving early around 6am so I hope this one is good! Tonight we have our usual XBox game night, but Minime is playing until bedtime and I'm moving game night to Saturday night because of the above. Church Sunday, but wife wants to pull weeds around the front of the house so at the moment I'm seeing no way to get out of that chore.  |

I have a wedding this weekend that my brother will be flying in town for so that should be fun to have the whole family back together. Hopefully the weather holds out! |

Update on weekend. Weather was beautiful but hot. The wedding was pretty good. The food and drinks were really good but there was way too much food. I couldn't even eat half of the things there trying to pace myself. Top pick goes to the bacon station that had bacon strips six-ways, bacon-wrapped shrimp, scallops, filet mignon, and dates and maple-flavored bourbon.

A good Friday for me. Accepted a tentative job offer for something good. Got waxed. For a pedi. Tomorrow is a massage (going to ask them to only focus on my back) and then a huuuuge craft festival.
I’m excited for new pathways!
